Grand Erie District School Board is seeking Special Education Advisory Committee Members
The Grand Erie District School Board is looking for parents and community members to join the Special Education Advisory Committee. Members of this lively and engaged group make recommendations to the Board on matters related to the establishment, development and delivery of Special Education programs and services within Grand Erie.
To be eligible, members must be: 1. a Canadian citizen, 2. 18 years of age or older, 3. a resident within the jurisdiction of the Board, and 4. a public school elector (as defined in the Municipal Electors Act)
Special Education Advisory Committee members serve a four (4) year term coinciding with municipal electorates, i.e., December 2018 to November 2022.
Applications will also be considered from local associations who operate in the best interests of promoting the well-being of exceptional children or adults throughout Ontario.
If you would like to be considered for membership, please send a letter to SEACchair@granderie.ca indicating your interest in or experience with special education, no later than October 24, 2018.
