Summer Learning at Grand Erie

Below is Summer School 2022 Credit Course Registration form and Course offerings.  

Courses run from Monday, July 4 to Friday, July 29, inclusive. Courses for secondary students are offered in two formats: 

1)  In-class for grades 9 and 10 at Brantford Collegiate Institute & Vocational School. Registration deadline is June 10. Hours:  8:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. If there is insufficient enrolment, in-person classes will not run. Students will be given the opportunity to take the corresponding eLearning course. If in-class courses do not run, registrants will be contacted by the Summer School Office.  Transportation information will be communicated when arrangements have been finalized.

2)  eLearning courses for grades 9 to 12. Registration deadline is June 30.

     Important summer school eLearning Dates:

June 27 – Students will receive log in instructions for Summer School 
June 30 – Students will receive a welcome email direct from their teacher
July 1 – Course orientation module opens for students in Brightspace
July 4 – Official start to course
July 29 – Final day of course

Transporation Request Form 

Please complete the transporation form and return it to the school. You can also, click here to create a Transportation Account once the initial form has been registered with the school. Having a transporation account is recommended to receive transporation notifications when busses will be delayed or cancelled.  

 

If you are coming to us from a school outside of the Grand Erie District School Board  


Welcome to the Grand Erie District School Board.  We require some additional information to complete the registration process. 

We will need to see documentation to verify the student's full name and date of birth and also proof of residency. The form used for this is the Registration Verification Form and can be found in PDF format below. Options are Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate or Passport. For address verification, a current utility bill, property tax bill, phone bill or current agreement of purchase of sale (property). Please bring the verification documents to your registration appointment.

Also, please fill out completely and sign the Direction of School Support Form, in PDF format below, and return it to the school.

Community Hours

All secondary students in the province of Ontario are required to complete a minimum of 40 hours of community service in order to graduate.
