Strides for Students Fundraiser - Saturday, June 13

A Hodge Huskies School Team has been created for Grand Erie’s Strides for Students Fundraiser. Strides for Students takes place the morning of Saturday, June 13, 2026 — rain or shine, on the track at Pauline Johnson Collegiate and Vocational School. A variety of games and activities will make the day fun and engaging for participants of all ages. For more information, please click on the following link: Strides for Students

If you are free, consider joining the Hodge Huskies team on Saturday morning. Mr. Ro will be participating (walking) with his daughter, Ava Ro and we would love to have more Huskies join us and support this great cause! Please consider donating to our school team to help meet our fundraising goal of $500. Individuals and families are encouraged to participate. Everyone is welcome to join in and support Grand Erie students.

AGH Track and Field Meet - June 4th

We are excited for our School Track and Field meet Tomorrow at W. Ross Macdonald School. Buses are expected to leave Agnes G. Hodge Public School at approximately 9:00 a.m. and will begin departing from W. Roos Macdonald School around 2:00 p.m.

All Grade 4 - 8 teachers will be supervising at the event. Students who are NOT attending the track and field meet and staying back at the school will be placed in kindergarten and primary classrooms for the day with work packages to complete.

Events are expected to begin at approximately 9:30 a.m. to ensure all schools and students arrive safely and are prepared to participate. Please ensure your child comes prepared for the day by bringing:

  • Running shoes (students without running shoes will not be permitted to participate in any events)
  • A packed lunch and snacks (there is no food truck)
  • A reusable water bottle
  • Sunscreen (there is limited shaded areas)
  • Appropriate clothing for the weather (shorts, short-sleeved shirt, hat)

To ensure everyone’s safety and preserve the quality of our venue, we kindly ask all guests to follow these rules during your visit:

General Conduct

  • Please treat all guests, staff, and participants with respect.
  • Follow the instructions of venue staff at all times.

Facility Use

  • Use only designated entry and exit points.
  • Only registered participants, coaches, and authorized personnel are allowed on the track and field areas.

A schedule of events is below; however, please note that the schedule is intended as a general outline only. Events will run continuously throughout the day to ensure all competitions are completed in a timely manner, and will be announced over the speakers.

Final Hot Lunch Date - Thursday, June 11

Just a reminder that our final hot lunch for this school year will be Thursday, June 11. Thank you for all your support with our hot lunch fundraisers. With your contributions, we are able to subsidize $10 per student for all of our school year end trips. Also, a big thank you to Mrs. Finucan-Hadath and our amazing clerical staff for organizing, coordinating, and distributing our hot lunches every week.


Jump Rope 4 Heart Fundraising Campaign

Our school Heart & Stroke’s Jump Rope 4 Heart fundraiser was a huge success! Students participated in a variety of fun and healthy activities to raise funds in support of Heart & Stroke. Our fundraising total was $1390, which surpassed our goal of $800!! Thank you to all that donated.

 

Brantford Red Sox Strikeout Hunger 

Join the Brantford Red Sox with their strikeout challenge for kids 12 and under during their next home game on Friday who will have the opportunity to throw strikes and raise money for the Brantford Food Bank with each strike. It will start shortly after the gates open at 6:30 pm and will go until game time at 7:30 pm
