    Food and Culture

Students in the grade 11 Food and Culture program are earning both secondary and college level courses through Conestoga College. Chef Will Thompson, owner of the Still Waters Plate and Pour is team teaching with Ms. Bales, so students may earn this dual credit.

Students were asked to provide their feedback about the things they enjoyed about the course and things they have learned:

“We learned how to make homemade pasta and sauces from scratch”

“Loved learning about different cultures, religions and their eating customs”

    “Great hands on experiences”

“Our class gets to cook a lot of different foods from all over the world”

    “Learning about various cooking techniques”

“We get to eat good food and new foods I’ve never tried before”

“I like the cooperation, teamwork, friendships that develop”
