Welcome Back- January 5

Dear PES Families, 
 
I hope everyone has had a restful break! As we enter the new year, I wanted to take a moment to send out a few reminders: 
 
French/Prep- We are welcoming Mr. Mizener who will be taking over for Mr. Russell for the month of January. 
 
Cell Phones- As per the Ministry of Education and PPM 128, there will be no use of student cell phones while at school. If a student has a phone, it is to be switched on silent and stored in their backpack. The school is not responsible for lost or damaged items. If a student needs to contact home for urgent matters, the office phone will be available. Please see the attachment below for further information. 
 
Pick up/Drop off- Prior to 8:40 am there is no adult supervision, students are not to be dropped off before then. Pick up is expected promptly at 3:10 pm. 

Concerns- If at any point you have a concern regarding the school, please click here for information on who to contact. If your concern is related to the classroom, please start by reaching out to your child’s teacher. 
 
Indoor/Outdoor Shoes- We kindly ask that all students have indoor and outdoor shoes. This helps keep our school clean. 
 
Running Shoes- To participate in physical activity while at school, all students must have running shoes. Crocs, clogs, sandals, etc. are not permitted. 
 

Reporting Absences- If your child is going to be absent, please call the absence reporting line at 1-833-557-9420 or report through the School Messenger app. Please do not leave attendance messages on the office or principal voicemail as they may not be heard in a timely manner.
