An annual March Break trip to Europe for Norfolk County students was far more than a vacation. 

The group of 70 students and nine teachers from Simcoe Composite School, Waterford District High School, Valley Heights Secondary School and Delhi District Secondary School journeyed through three countries — France, Belgium and the Netherlands. While they visited many popular tourist destinations during the trip, they also attended several wartime landmarks.  

Lead planner Jason Dale said the “most impactful” section of the 10-day trip was a day and night spent in Vimy, France, and Ypres, Belgium.
