Cybersecurity is a critical component in maintaining the safety and integrity of both staff and student environments across the Grand Erie District School Board.
Recent assessments have identified recurring challenges, including a small group of employees who consistently fail phishing email tests and several instances of unsafe online practices that have elevated organizational risk.
Recognizing that cybersecurity-1 is a shared responsibility, the Board is committed to fostering a culture of awareness and accountability. To support this goal, a targeted communications plan is being developed to engage key stakeholders whose digital behaviors directly impact the security of the organization.
This initiative aims to improve access to cybersecurity training, enhance understanding of best practices, and increase overall awareness of emerging threats.
