Thursday November 16

• If you want to play on the VHSS Boys’ Basketball teams, you need to be in the gym for tryouts from 3 – 5pm on Monday November 20^th. Only students who have submitted completed and signed permission forms will be able to participate. Practice will be from 3 – 5pm.
• Attention Grade 11 & 12 students. A representative from the Simcoe Rotary Club will be visiting our school on Friday, November 24^th @ 12:30pm to discuss scholarships and the exchange program that they offer. If you are interested, please sign up in guidance.
• Attention athletes … today is the last day you have to return your jerseys to your coaches. You will not be allowed to participate in any more sports until they are returned.
• A reminder to hockey players to get your permission forms in. No one goes on the ice without it!
• Junior & Senior Girl Volleyball players ... Juniors continue with one additional tryout on Monday from 3 – 4:30pm. Seniors, a list will be posted outside the Student Success office and your practice will be Tuesday from 3 – 4:30pm.

Wednesday November 15

• The Hidden Valley Café is open for business! We are selling our popular cheeseburger soup served with a fresh baked bun. We also have deli sandwiches, a variety of cookies, and beverages for sale. See you in room 100 during the lunch hour.

• Reminder to everyone who is attending the stress less workshop that it starts today at 10:20am. Meet in the staff room (rm 101) right before the café. The school social worker and Child & Youth worker will be there to greet you.
• Semi-Formal dance is going to be held on November 30. Ticket sales start today at lunch outside of the library. They are $15 each. Any proceeds from the dance will go to support local charities. Ticket sales will run for the one week.

• Attention all athletes. All jerseys must be returned to your coaches by tomorrow or you will be charged for a replacement jersey.
• Jr. & Sr. Volleyball tryouts continue today from 3 – 4:30pm. Don’t forget to bring your water bottle.

Monday November 13

• Cheer practices Tues & Thurs morning this week at 7am
• Chess Club – Today at lunch in room 110. Bring your lunch.
• Last call for Equine College campus tour permission forms. Wednesday morning is your last chance to hand them in. Forms in the Turning Point or Guidance Office.
• Reminder Sr & Jr girls volleyball tryouts are today after school from 3 – 4:30.
• If you are interested in playing boys hockey sign your name on the list outside Student Success (rm. 224) and get a permission form. There will be a brief meeting Tuesday at lunch in rm 123.
