Go Falcons! Go!

Welcome to the Fairview Avenue Public School website. We hope this site will become a source of information for all our families. We look forward to working together with all our students to inspire personal success. We encourage you to remain in close communication with your child's teacher to ensure that he/she has a successful year!

Drive Through/Pick Up/Drop Off Loop

The Drop Off Loop is becoming a traffic jam at dismissal time.

Parents are reminded that stopping to pick up students is to happen only in the lane beside the rocks. That is our quick pick up lane. The next lane(middle lane) is left open for traffic to flow.

If you need to park and come into the school, or if your child is one of the last students to exit the school, there are 3 parking spaces available next to the property line fence. You can also park at the front of the school and come in to get your child, meet with the teacher or pick up homework. Please don’t park and leave your vehicle at dismissal time in the Drive Through Flowing traffic lane (middle) or in the Quick Pick Up lane, it causes other parents who are using the loop correctly to get frustrated.

Please remember that this is a Drive Through/Pick Up/Drop Off Loop. We would like to do our best to prevent traffic jams at dismissal time.

Snow Days and Late Transportation

A snowflake

Please check the Grand Erie District School Board website if you think there may be a snow day. This information is posted at 6:30 in the morning. If there is a snow day, and transportation is cancelled, it means that the school is closed.

Sometimes, due to mechanical breakdowns or other reasons buses run late. Late buses and bus delays are also posted as soon as that information is available in the morning on the Grand Erie District School Board website.
