Parent Council

Graham Bell-Victoria school has a very active School Council which meets monthly throughout the year. Meetings are usually held at 6 p.m. in the school library. Refreshments and Babysitting are provided. Please come out and see what School Council is all about. It's a great way to get involved in your child's education and to meet other parents.

Last year, School Council was active in assisting with Meet the Teacher night, Christmas Celebration Night, Chocolate Bar Sales Fundraising, providing funds for school trips and improvements for our School playground.

This year, School Council plans to run a Fun Fair and has received a $1,000 Parent Reaching Out Grant to provide parent engagement activities.

Volunteers are welcome at Graham Bell-Victoria P.S. Volunteers are wonderful models for our students to see the value of helping others. Our volunteers take on a wide variety of roles, such as:

  • assisting with the Breakfast Program
  • volunteering in a class
  • reading with students
  • assisting with trip supervision
  • coaching sports
  • helping in the library
  • fundraising
  • participating on the School Council

We always need more volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact the school.

All school volunteers are required to have a vulnerable sector police check completed every two years. Please contact Mrs. Byron at the school office for the required form.
