Learning Resources

Students requiring additional supports for success work with our Learning Resource Teacher. Support is given in classrooms in collaboration with classroom teachers and one-on-one support is available.

Student Responsibilities

DSS students will be more successful with their learning by following these tips:

Arrive daily at school on time for all classes
Be prepared and ready to learn with the appropriate supplies
Ask for assistance when required
Show respect for themselves, others, and those in authority
Complete their schoolwork on time and to the best of their ability
Follow the established rules and take responsibility for their actions
Get involved and have fun

Parent/Guardian Roles and Responsibilities:

Show an active interest in your child’s schoolwork and progress
Communicate regularly with the school
Help your child arrive to school on time and be prepared to learn
Contact the school regarding absences or lateness
Encourage your child to follow the code of conduct and school rules
Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and administration when required
