Grand Erie Reaches Tentative Local Agreement with ETFO Teachers’ Bargaining Unit

Grand Erie District School Board is pleased to announce it has reached a tentative local agreement with the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) Teachers’ Bargaining Unit.

“It’s great that we’ve been able to reach a tentative deal with ETFO,” said Board Chair Greg Anderson. “Our Elementary Teachers do such wonderful work on behalf of our students. We’re so grateful to them for the impact they make daily in our schools and in the lives of our students and their families.”

Details of the local agreement will not be released. ETFO members will vote on the settlement for the three-year contract (September 1, 2019 to August 31, 2022) soon.

Grand Erie District School Board represents nearly 18,000 students in 58 elementary schools and more than 7,300 students in 14 secondary schools within the city of Brantford and the counties of Brant, Haldimand, and Norfolk as well as secondary students from Six Nations of the Grand River and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
