Grade 9 Information Nights begin at Grand Erie District School Board

Brantford Ont. – Parent and student information nights for those entering Grade 9 in the fall of 2018 will begin next week at Grand Erie District School Board.

A total of 17 information nights will be held, beginning with specialized programming such as the Laurier Program at Brantford Collegiate Institute and Vocational School on November 16, and the athletic -focused SOAR Program at Pauline Johnson Collegiate and Vocational Institute on November 21. French Immersion Program information nights will take place at North Park Collegiate Vocational School on December 12 and Branford Collegiate Institute and Vocational School on January 18, 2018.

Secondary schools in Brant and Haldimand will host their Grade 9 information nights in December, while most Brantford and Norfolk secondary schools will host their information nights in January 2018.

“Grand Erie recognizes that the transition from elementary to secondary school is a time of both uncertainty and opportunity,” said Denise Martins, Superintendent of Education. “To ensure success for every student, it’s our goal at Grand Erie to support and prepare students for Grade 9 by providing programs and experiences within a caring and inclusive learning environment.”
