Students at King George School have been given the opportunity to participate in a hockey program at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Arena.
Officer Logan, a Brantford Police officer, has brought community partners together to allow students at King George School to play ice hockey once a month from October, 2016 to April, 2017.
Brantford Police, in partnership with Canadian Tire, will be providing free hockey equipment, transportation, and ice rental to fifteen grade 6, 7, and 8 students at King George School.
"Each month police officers and King George staff are volunteering their time to instruct and develop ice hockey skills to the students," said Gregory Rowe, principal at the school. "We're so grateful for this opportunity."
Upon the conclusion of the ice hockey program the Arnold Anderson Fund will be offering additional support to these students if they are interested in registering with the Brantford Minor Hockey House League program.
