Covey Canada invited Ryerson Heights to take part in the “2016 Leader in Me Symposium” held in Toronto.
As part of the symposium, the school was given the honour and distinction of being a "Demonstration School," and as such, they welcomed over 60 teachers and administrators from around the globe on Tuesday, April 19.
Attendees saw first-hand how ‘student centered leadership’ has been integrated into the environment, curriculum, instruction and traditions of their school. Students had the chance to showcase their leadership skills, and staff welcomed guests into their classrooms to share their collective passion and successes, and the leadership philosophy that is at the very heart of the school's culture.
Ryerson Heights’ staff and community continue to be inspired by their students as they develop the 21st-century leadership skills to become the leaders of tomorrow.
What is the secret to their success? The answer is: We Don’t Stop Believin’.
