You often see them in our schools. They’re Grand Erie staff who come for a short a time with a list of requests from principals and caretakers. They exit, and do so leaving schools looking better, functioning better, or feeling better.
This week, Grandview Central was paid a special visit by Grand Erie Facilities staff John Attwell and Mark Redmond. Between the two of them, their total experience as professional painters in the school board exceeds 50 years.
“Their friendly disposition, kind interaction with students and staff, and the pride they took in their task of putting a fresh coat of paint on our goal posts and Monkey bars is noteworthy and reflects similar interactions I have seen and had with other support staff,” said Principal Dave Gervais.
“To John and Mark, and all our colleagues who complete the seemingly never ending lists of work orders, thank you. Our school communities deeply appreciate your efforts,” added Gervais.
