    Brantford Pride Events 2016

     

    Monday, June 13

    Brantford Pride and The Bridge invite all to Brantford City Hall for the sixth annual Pride Flag Raising, to kick off Pride 2016 celebrations. Come out and show your support at this event which promotes inclusion and diversity in our community. The Flag Raising will be at 3:00 p.m. at 100 Wellington Square on Monday, June 13th, 2016.

    Tuesday, June 14

    Trans-awareness event - Open Mic Hosted by Gender Journey Night Starving Artist Cafe (42 Dalhousie St.) 6:00 p.m.

    Thursday, June 16

    Aan evening out, cruising on the Grand River. It is a 2 hour cruise down the river as the sun sets. This event is licensed and snacks will be served. The Cruise is on June 16th, 2016 at 7:30 pm sharp! Get your tickets at any Scotia Bank Branch in Brantford and they will match ticket sales. That’s right, you buy your ticket for $20 and Scotia Bank will donate $20 to Brantford Pride!

    Friday, June 17

    Brant Youth Pride is hosting an evening for LGBTQ2SA+ Youth and Allies on Friday, June 17 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at the Family Resource Centre at 14 Henry Street. Free Admission and refreshments. Come out for music, crafts, and fun.

    Saturday, June 18

    Brantford Pride invites local LGBT community, family, friends and allies to join the annual Walk With Pride Event.

    When: 12:00 pm on Saturday June 18, 2016
    Where: Grand River Community Health Centre (363 Colborne St) to Mohawk Park

    Pride in the Park: At Mohawk Park (from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.), the day’s events and activities will commence. There will be dignitaries including some of our favourite local politicians.

    Live music, including performances by Darcy Fever, Lacey Hill, Steven B. Andrews, Terra Cotta.

    For the kids: games, LGBTQ community quilt art project, and face painting.

    Finishing up Brantford Pride Week, in the evening of Saturday from 8 p.m. - 1 a.m., there will be hosting a Pride Dance. The dance will be 16+ at the Pavilion Hall in Mohawk Park.

    The cost is $10 at the door. There will be a DJ, Drag Show, munchies, door prizes and 50/50 draws throughout the evening. There will be a cash bar.
