How to Book a School
Grand Erie District School Board provides a seamless process to booking a school facility through a user friendly online booking process. Renting a school facility is a simple process done in the comfort of your own home!
Historical User groups (groups who have been renting space for 5 years consecutively for the same dates and location) will be notified by May 15 of each year and must submit a permit by June 30 to keep their Historical booking.
Community Use of School permits for the next school year commences on July 1 and depending on the volume, may take up to 3-4 weeks to complete.
For new bookings throughout the school year, applications must be submitted not less than two (2) weeks prior to the start date.
Create an Account
To book a Grand Erie District School Board facility, an account must be created in our on-line booking system by clicking the Get Started link. https://gedsb.ebasefm.com/rentals/welcome

Choose a Facility
Choose a facility that will suit the groups need and availability. The online reservation system provides access to many school spaces across Grand Erie such as gymnasiums, auditoriums and cafeterias and outdoor fields.
Apply
In order to rent a school facility using the online booking system, new users will need to create an account as listed above. Existing users can simply log in. Once logged in, simply click on the ‘Create New Permit’ button at the top of the screen and complete the on-line request form. Don’t forget to click the ‘Submit’ button on the last page of the form.
Submit Your Permit
Once you have completed the on-line permit request, the Community Use of Schools Permit Clerk will receive your request and it remains in pending status until the review process is complete.
Once a permit application has been submitted it may take up to two weeks to be processed. Permits received with less than 10 business days could risk having some dates cancelled. Insurance requirements and payments must be received prior to the permit being issued.

Approval
Once the permit request has been approved, a permit will be issued electronically. When you receive your permit please review your dates carefully. Groups will need to print a copy of their permit and have this on hand when attending the school. If you receive a revised permit throughout the school year, you must bring in the most recent hardcopy of the permit when attending the school.
