Consistency in attendance also allows students to build a sense of routine and life skills around accountability, punctuality, and time management – all habits supporting long-term success. In our efforts to observe Black History month, "Words for Wellness" and quotes from influential black leaders who chose to be guided by love are shared during our morning announcements. Student leaders involved in our Words Matter campaign also share daily announcements celebrating nation builders to tomorrow’s visionaries.
Friday February 13th will be one of our Special Event Days. Sweet treats are welcome. Student Council will also be hosting a Valentines dance! Students from Kindergarten all the way to grade 8 will be able to show off their dance moves and have some fun with their friends. Dances will occur throughout the day in grade groups. An alternate space will be available for students who do not wish to attend the dance. Parents wishing for their child to opt out of the dance can reach out to their child's teacher to let them know.
