Welcome to Waterford District High School!

  • WDHS was first established in 1892
  • Our school colours are white (W), heliotrope (H) and scarlet (S)
  • Our mascot is a wolf named ‘Wolfie’

  • We value tradition and continue to participate in important events, such as turkey dinners, staff versus student hockey games, and Young Canada Day at the Norfolk Fair.

Principal's Message

Waterford District High School has been a community school serving the residents of Waterford and surrounding areas since 1892. WDHS is proud to have graduated over 130 cohorts of learners in Norfolk County.

Waterford District High School provides a full range of classes across all three pathways. Whether you plan to pursue a trade, attend college, go to work or attend university we can ensure that you have the core courses and electives to get you to your destination.

WDHS has specialized courses in hockey, volleyball and soccer. We have Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs in Construction, Health & Wellness and Hospitality & Tourism as well as an amazing robotics lab that is utilized by a number of our math and science classes.  Please consider joining a team, club or committee. We are proud of our 22 sports teams, numerous clubs like Robotics, Drama and Chess and the exceptional academic opportunities offered to WDHS

We welcome you whether you are just joining us for the first time or if you are a returning Wolf. We pride ourselves in the many opportunities available for you to get involved with school life.
