School-Based Forms Going Digital

Grand Erie is making the distribution, completion and collection of forms for schools and parents/caregivers easier. We are now implementing elements of the existing School Cash Online system to process forms. Starting the first week of September, all participating schools will be able to send board-generated forms to parents/caregivers through School Cash Online. Traditionally, these paper forms were sent home and collected each year during the first week of school. This is optional for schools in the first year of implementation.

 2023-24 School Year Calendar

The calendar for the entire school year is available here, with separate calendars for elementary and secondary schools. Please contact your school directly for any school-specific questions about activities or schedules.

MPS learns about Ontario's role in the Underground Railroad

In honour of Black History month, Mt. Pleasant School welcomed a guest speaker, Mr. Michael Toby, to discuss Ontario's role in the Underground Railroad. Mr. Toby's unique presentation combined video, story telling and song to help students understand significance of the Underground Railroad. Students learned the role of music and song in guiding slaves towards the North. Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we thank Mr. Toby for bringing his presentation to us.

Mustangs pledge their hands

Students and staff created individual handprints and contributed them to create this amazing piece of art. Each handprint is different and unique....kind of like our students! This month we celebrate our diversity.
