All Grand Erie Schools CLOSED by Government of Ontario from March 14-April 5 Due to Precautionary Measures for COVID-19

On March 12, the Government of Ontario ordered the closure of all publicly funded schools in the province from March 14 to April 5 as a precautionary measure to stop the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The closures were made as a result of recommendations by Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health.

This means that all Grand Erie schools will be closed to students and the public for the duration of this time (March 14-April 5). The closure includes all Adult, Alternative and Continuing Education programs offered through Grand Erie, including GELA (Grand Erie Learning Alternatives). Additionally, all child care and Before and After-School programs are also cancelled, along with all school permits, leased spaces, and Community Use of Schools permits.

As further information becomes available, Grand Erie District School Board will share it with students, staff and community members. At any time, families can contact the Board at info@granderie.ca or at 519-756-6301.
