École Dufferin Parent Council

The Mission of the École Dufferin Parent Council is:

  • to strengthen the learning potential of our students in a positive, bilingual environment
  • to promote mutually supportive communication networks between community members, students, staff, parents and the Grand Erie District School Board to enhance student resources through fund raising programs and activities.

ALL parents are invited to attend meetings, even if you are not an “official” voting member. You are welcome to take part in the discussions and sit on sub-committees, or just sit back and see what goes on. These general meetings are held online at 6:30 p.m., usually on the second Wednesday of each month.

Volunteering

Volunteers play a vital role in our school community, and help make our school a vibrant and exciting place to learn and grow. Our volunteers take on a wide variety of roles, such as:

  • assisting with the Snack Program
  • volunteering with a class
  • reading with students
  • assisting with trip supervision
  • working in the library
  • fundraising support
  • participating on the School Council

We always need more volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact the school.

All volunteers in Ontario schools are required to have a vulnerable sector police check completed every two years. Please contact the school for the necessary forms. It takes a while to process these checks, so please try to complete the forms as soon as possible. Thank you!
