The sun was shining, birds were singing, and schools across Grand Erie were buzzing with excitement to welcome students back on Tuesday, September 2!
While many schools greeted new and familiar faces this morning, Grand River Public School in Caledonia opened its doors for learning for the very first time. Before heading in for the grand tour, students met new friends on the playground and got to know the staff.
"It's a pleasure to welcome students into our new, beautiful space. At Grand River Public School, we believe that school is more than just a place — it's a vibrant, connected community where every student is seen, heard and valued," said Mark Fraser, Principal at Grand River Public School.

"That energy was certainly present on the playground this morning as students reconnected, and at Paris District High School, where the Caring Senior Students (CiSS) team welcomed incoming grade nine students."
As the first day draws to a close, Grand Erie looks forward to another year of learning, well-being and belonging.
