The gym buzzed with energy this week as Grade 6–8 students transformed the space into a vibrant Food Truck Festival, complete with colourful displays, creative menus, and some seriously impressive French skills.
Students proudly showcased their handmade food trucks, each offering its own unique twist — from sweet treats to savoury favourites. Their peers lined up to “order” in French, putting classroom learning into action in the most delicious way possible.

Mme Phillips couldn’t help but beam as she watched students confidently take orders, answer questions, and even make change, all while carrying full conversations en français. It wasn’t just a showcase; it was a lively, immersive language experience.
The young chefs and entrepreneurs loved every minute of it. Not only did they get to show off their creativity, but they also demonstrated just how much they’ve mastered in their food unit.
This wasn’t your typical classroom activity, it was hands-on, high-energy, and unforgettable. A true celebration of learning, language, and imagination.
