School Council

School Councils are in place in all Ontario Schools, under the Ministry of Education. At Teeterville, the main purpose of the School Council is to strengthen the partnership between school and home. Another is to act as an advisory group to the principal and the school community. Examples of some of the topics for discussion and member input are:

  • the Student and Parent Handbook, which includes the Code of Conduct and Dress Code
  • parent engagement
  • the School Improvement Plan
  • conflict resolution processes
  • Safe Schools topics
  • community involvement participation e.g., Norfolk County Fair

The School Council is an excellent way to be involved with your child(ren)'s schooling. Typically there are about four meetings during the school year, held in the evening at the school.

Currently our School Council Chair is Andrea Riddoch.

Our School Council is looking for new members. Everyone is welcome! Please come out and join the group. Watch for meeting dates in the school newsletter or call the school at (519) 443-8447.
