Simcoe Composite School’s Emily Yeo named to Minister’s Student Advisory Council On March 21, the Ministry of Education announced the selection of its 2018-19 Minister’s Student Advisory Council. Emily Yeo, a Grade 11 student at Simcoe Composite School, was one of the lucky few who were chosen. More than 400 students across the province applied to be part of the Minister’s Student Advisory Council, with just 60 selected. Emily will serve a one-year team that will see her provide ongoing student perspectives and recommendations. She will also participate in consultations on Ministry policies and programs and advice and feedback on student engagement activities.
