The SCS Eco-Club has been busy the last few months. In addition to the organic waste diversion program (food scraps are sent to a local farm for animal feed) the eco- club has started a new battery recycling initiative. Students and staff can bring in their used batteries and deposit them in the buckets located outside the main office or in the 3rd floor Science office.

Last week members of the eco-club (the Bird Herd) traveled to the Long Point Bird Observatory to experience the fall migration and banding of birds. They also traveled to the Port Rowan Lagoon to see an example of environmental reclamation.
