participated in Earth Week activities facilitated through the school's
Eco-Club. Increased awareness led to more extensive organic waste
diversion in the school cafeteria. Pictured: Student Jacob Goble put his
food waste in the designated container instead of the garbage. The
school Eco-club has partnered with a local farmer (through the Norfolk 4-H) who
uses student food scraps as a supplement to livestock feed.
The Eco-club also began a recycling initiative on the school soccer field to help
make the proper disposal of recyclables more convenient.
