On Friday, May 04, members of the SCS Eco-Club (the Bird Herd) participated in Bird Studies Canada National Schoolyard Bird Blitz. The group found a total of 18 species and over 150 birds. Our information was imputed into the national data base as an example of "citizen science" in action. One of the unique species observed at SCS was the Wilsons Warbler. The Bird Herd would also like to congratulate one of our feeder schools, Walsh Public who also participated in the event and recorded 23 species of birds.
