A Big Win for Art at the Fair!

Hundreds enter, and many will place, but it was one of our very own who took home the top prize. We are very proud of Andrea Stephens who won the Harley Snively award for the best artwork at the Norfolk County fair this year. Not only does the prize come with prestige and bragging rights, but a whopping $500 prize. When asked what she would do with the prize money, she said “probably school, but maybe some art supplies since currently I’m just using whatever I have at my disposal and art supplies are expensive.”

Like many artists, she was originally resistant to enter her work, fearing it was not good enough to win, however, her art teacher, Mrs. Demontfort was adamant about entering it and apparently that decision paid off.
