To honour February being “Healthy Heart Month” all students at Oneida participated in 20-25 minutes of DPA (Daily Physical Activity) by doing Zumba! Our fearless leader, Lindsay Link, spent the morning instructing three separate sessions for students in primary, junior and intermediate classes. The music was appropriate for each age group and proved to be fun and invigorating!

This type of activity is just one of the many outlets of physical activity that helps to promote health and wellness here at Oneida which in turn helps us to be the best we can be! Thank you to the parents for helping to fund this initiative for the students! To show appreciation, a group of students and teachers choreographed a Zumba dance to perform for Lindsay on her final day at Oneida. This performance included many of Lindsay’s favourite moves and she was blown away upon watching it! “I can’t believe it. I can’t believe these students put that together in two days and performed it so well. I’m blown away.” Lindsay commented afterwards.
