September 5th is the first day of school for all Senior Kindergarten to Grade 8 Students.
The new junior kindergarten students will have staggered entry for the first week in September. A letter went home in June with the staggered entry dates.
Message from the Principal
“Be The Best You Can Be” is our motto here at Oneida Central School. We encourage our students, staff, parents and families to support each other in achieving this goal, whether it is in academic, character, social or physical development. It takes a “village (or community) to raise a child” and staff at Oneida Central communicate and work with parents in providing this.
Through our school and classroom newsletters (found here), the use of the agenda and phone calls, staff share important information that is necessary in maintaining positive learning opportunities at school and keeping parents updated on assignments, events and topics being taught. In turn, parents can call the school to keep us updated on appointments, illnesses, change of address or phone numbers and other items that could impact their child’s day at school. We request that parents check the agenda daily, ensure homework is complete, assignment deadlines are met and encourage your child to read daily.
Oneida Central is appreciative of those parents who volunteer at our school. Parent volunteers require a current police check in order to sit on Parent Council, Fundraising Committee, Nutrition Committee and accompany class trips or drive for school team events. Working together to raise our future leaders!
