Night School 2017 - 2018

Course offerings for Semester 1 of 2017-18 will be posted on or about August 30, 2017 


The Night School Program for credits offered by the Grand Erie District School Board provides people with the opportunity to a credit toward their high school diploma. The main purpose of providing continuing education through evening classes is to benefit adults who have left school.  Another purpose is to accommodate secondary school students who have special curriculum needs.  A student who attends a Secondary school must register through Student Services at their school.


SEMESTER 1 - SEPTEMBER 12, 2017 TO JANUARY  18, 2018
SEMESTER 2 - FEBRUARY 14, 2018 TO JUNE 7, 2018

This program offers students the opportunity to earn one secondary school credit per semester.
  • The courses at Rawdon St and Valley Heights SS operate Tuesdays and Thursdays. 
  • Only one course may be taken in a semester.
  • Room locations will be posted at the school on the first evening of classes.



No fees will be collected for night school.  However, an $80.00 Textbook Deposit cheque is required on the first night of class.  Cheques will be returned to students at the end of the course, provided textbooks are returned AND in good condition.




All courses are subject to sufficient enrollment and teacher availability!



 If the course is offered, you will be expected to be in class the first evening.


Students currently registered in a secondary school must submit the completed application form through their Student Services Counsellor.

Students not presently enrolled in a secondary school may register through Grand Erie Learning Alternatives, 365 Rawdon St., Brantford, Monday through Friday, 8 - 4 daily.  A copy of your transcript is required.

What's Happening
​Christina Cowell from the YMCA "Youth Gambling Awareness Program" will be at GELA Rawdon on Monday to visit with students and raise awareness to the issue of gambling and how individual's can better make informed decisions on the issue.
