English as a Second Language (ESL) and Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) Classes

 
ALL NEW STUDENTS MUST be assessed before starting classes. You will be placed in the correct class according to your language level. We evaluate your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills using the Canadian Language Benchmarks.

Brantford Classes
  • Classes level 1-7
  • Literacy classes
  • Full time classes
  • Monday-Friday
  • September to June
  • 9:00 am – 2:30 pm

Childminding available to LINC students in Brantford

No cost child care is provided for children from 19 months to 6 years of age. Qualified ECE Instructors will supervise your child(ren) while you attend English Language Classes. Parents are required to bring a lunch for their child but drinks and snacks will be provided. Available during daytime classes only.

​Christina Cowell from the YMCA "Youth Gambling Awareness Program" will be at GELA Rawdon on Monday to visit with students and raise awareness to the issue of gambling and how individual's can better make informed decisions on the issue.
