Welcome! --- Bienvenue!

Éole Confédération is a JK-Gr. 8, single track French Immersion school in the city of Brantford. September 2016 was the grand opening of our school. During the 2015-2016 school year, extensive renovations were done to the former Coronation school to accommodate the growing population of École Fairview (including the addition of several new classrooms and the relocation of the removeable classroom module from the Fairview site). The result is our beautiful, new school which opened September 2016! We are looking forward to continuing our learning in both English and French for our second year at the new campus. With a population of just over 600 students, there is always something exciting happening in addition to learning, with many clubs and sports teams available for students. GO COURAGE!

Safe Student Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

Our school parking lot provides for a “Kiss and Drop” area for parents for use in the mornings. This area is a no-parking zone. Caregivers may stop in this zone long enough to drop off students and then continue out of the parking lot. The on-site parking at the school is reserved for staff parking only.

All buses will load and unload in the loop at the end of the staff parking lot. Families need to avoid this area at all times before and after school. Parents may not park or drop off students in the bus loading zone. Visitor parking is also not permitted in this area.

All students will enter the playground through the gate along the sidewalk at the edge of the parking lot and bus loading zone. If you are parking off site to walk your child to the drop off zone, street parking is available on Coronation and Stodola Drives. Parking is prohibited on Ewing Drive. We ask for your cooperation in remaining respectful to our school neighbours when parking on the street. Refrain from using our neighbours’ driveways, and leave a 1m space between your parked car and driveways (city by-law). Please walk your child to the crosswalk in front of the school.

Student pick up will be from the gym doors along the sidewalk at the side of the school (by the bicycle racks). Except for school buses and vehicles with permits for the 2 accessible parking spaces, no vehicles are permitted on the school property for pick up between 3:15 and 3:45 daily. Kindergarten parents may begin pick up at 3:20 daily in this area. Gr. 1-8 students will be ready for pick up at 3:30. This area will be fully supervised by staff.

Please note that dismissal time is very busy for students. It is important for families to establish a clear routine with children and the classroom teacher. If there is a change in routine, a note from the parent/guardian will be expected by the teacher each and every time.
