    The 2016-17 school year was an important one for Grand Erie as the Board approved a new strategic direction to guide the work that the school board is doing. At the centre of Grand Erie’s Multi-Year Plan is Success for Every Student. Grand Erie will achieve Success for Every Student through a focus on students and staff in a culture of high expectations.

Grand Erie District School Board received approval from the Ministry of Education for the 2018-19 School Year Calendars in May 2018. The calendars were developed in collaboration with the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board, and received input from Executive Council.

Markus Kunej is set to start his studies in Engineering Science at the University of Toronto this fall, and his achievements in secondary school have earned him a Schulich Leader Scholarship worth $100,000.

Grand Erie District School Board’s Indigenous Education team, in partnership with the Elementary Teachers Federation, is set to celebrate the diverse cultures, traditions and contributions of Indigenous communities during its annual Sharing Our Voices gala at the Sanderson Centre in Brantford, a day before the country marks Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21.
