Applications are being accepted from School Councils to be eligible to receive a GEPIC (Grand Erie Parent Involvement Committee) Parent Engagement Grant
School Councils can access funds for initiatives, projects or activities that support parent engagement and involvement in schools. Success for Every Student is the goal at the centre of Grand Erie’s 2016-20 Multi-Year Plan. School Councils are encouraged to align their initiatives with indicators that will help us achieve this goal: Achievement, Well-Being, Equity, Environment, Technology and Community.
Preference will be given to School Councils who indicate in their
application that they will collaborate with other schools in their
neighbourhood, city, or county.Projects that focus on reaching parents who face barriers to being involved in their child’s education will also be favoured.
A sub-committee comprised of GEPIC members will review all grant applications.
School Councils will be notified on December 20, 2017. Funds from the approved grants are to be used by June 29, 2018.
*Funds are limited and the amount indicated on the application may not be fully honoured as requested. Grants will be approved and awarded based on the criteria determined by GEPIC.
