Through the Helping Hands in Action Program, Union Gas employees have been committed to enrich the lives of our Onondaga-Brant students by creating an outdoor classroom and installing two buddy benches.
Over the past three years Union Gas and parent company, Spectra Energy, has supported these projects with community improvement grants of $ 4,000 dollars.
Andrea Coombs, parent, has done all the work for this grant. She also got her Union Gas colleagues and their families to contribute their “sweat labour” to these two projects.
"We are grateful to have this outdoor classroom completed just in time to learn outside," says Onondaga-Brant Principal Laurie Murray.
