The Policy that governs the use of Community Use of Schools, FT4, has been updated and approved by the Board, effective January 25, 2016.
The following highlight the changes to the Policy:
The Policy now includes and Handbook for users.
Permit Types-now includes a category for Affiliate Groups.
Affiliate Groups are defined as non-profit, volunteer organization approved for affiliation by a municipal Recreation Authority for the purpose of making recreational and/or cultural program available to all residents of the local community. This does not include tournament events.
Affiliate Groups pay for 100% of custodial fee and no fee for the use of the facility.
Bookings are based on the following priority:
Overnight booking of facilities are not a permitted activity.
Schools are not available during non-school days, including the summer, December and March Breaks and P.A. Days and Board designated holidays. Some exceptions do apply for Municipal and community Partnerships.
