Pupil Accommodation Reviews

Grand Erie District School Board is responsible for the development of viable solutions for pupil accommodation that support student achievement and well-being. An Accommodation Review is informed by the Quality Accommodation Committee recommendations, Grand Erie District School Board Senior Administration will develop an accommodation report to be presented to the Board of Trustees for approval.

The following policy will be used to guide the Pupil Accommodation Review:

  • FT5: Pupil Accommodation Review

The Accommodation Review Committee

It is the role of the ARC to represent the schools under review and act as the official conduit for infomration shared between the Board and the school communities. The ARC may comment on the initial staff report and may, throughout the pupil accommodation review process, seek clarification of the initial staff report. The ARC may provide other accommodtion options than those in the initial staff report; however, it must inculde supporting rationale for any such option.

Membership of the ARC

  • The Superintendent of Schools will facilitate the ARC meetings.
  • One representatives appointed by the School Council of each school involved in the study
  • Two Trustees as Ad Hoc members

The Principal of each school, Director of Education, Superintendent of Business, the Board’s Planning Officer and other staff as required will be available as resource staff to support the ARC.

Options Presented by Senior Administration to the Accommodation Review Committee
